It does sound quite likely that Anne may have become ill or indeed passed away in 1913, hence the trip home by Martin. I will post a request on for information on a death record for Anne.

I'm glad you spotted that Christine was on a different line, I would have wasted a lot of time on that!

Martin's job, Saloon Attendant, sounds like a Bar man maybe?

I think the Thomas Haskett in the photos you refer to is my grandfather's brother (Martin's nephew). I will try to put your family tree together on Geni, and I can send you an invite to join the family tree if you wish?
