Sorry I didn't respond earlier, but I just logged into ancestry after a long pause. I am not sure after all if I am related to Finucane, but the similarities are interesting. My grandfather George did come to the U.S. first and settled in Brooklyn, NY and then Martin came to stay with him. I am interested in any information you may have on either of them and maybe that will help me figure out if we are talking about the same person. My father, David, lost his mother when he was very young and eventually he and his siblings were put into care. Grandfather George died when my father was about 15. I've always thought there was some family scandal because no one really wanted to discuss family history. Perhaps it was just that the kids were put into care when George was still alive. Anyway, thanks for reaching out.
