This is a real long shot but I have a DNA match with another company to a woman in Australia whose maternal GGF was Henry Edward Stanley, born 1858 in East London. He was orphaned along with his siblings and immigrated to Oz in 1882. We have a match in common with a man whose ancestors were Donovans from Ardfield West Cork and he and I probably have a common Donovan ancestor. So we are thinking that there was a Donovan-Stanley connection somewhere. Stanley isn't a common name in Cork but we found a few on irishgenealogy.ie.

If you want to check, I put Henry Edward Stanley on my tree. My Ancestry.com id is jbarry6899 and the tree is Barry-Hunt-Kiesler-Robinson.
