Hi, following my earlier post, I have managed to identify the exact grave location of my great grandfathers first wife, Alice Paton Chapman in Douglas Cemetery, Douglas, Co Cork and am hoping that someone could be kind enough to take a photo (and transcribe headstone) for me.
According to St. Luke's Reverend Wilkinson, "It is in section O plot 16. Once you enter the gate, walk around behind the back of the gatelodge over towards the boundary wall. Walk down the path where you will see section O on your right. It is half way down the cemetery. Your ancestor's grave is nearest the path but facing the wall. You will see four low trimmed yew trees marking a family plot. The headstone is about 3 or 4 graves up from these trees as you look towards the gatelodge. The headstone is tall and has trefoil type design on top of it. The writing is faint in places but legible."
I would be very grateful for any assistance given.
