My family origins have been traced to the late 1700's and center around a town called Kilmacahill in East Cork County,Barony of Imokilly, Civil Parish of Cloyne, Poor Law Union of Middleton, in the Province of Munster.

Jerimiah's first son Edmund LAWTON (my gggfather)married Ellen BRIEN/O'BRIEN circa 1839 and had the following children: Darby/Jerimiah in 1841 Sponsors - Patk COSTINE & Fanny HYDE, John in 1843 Sponsors - John SHEA Dora CASHMAN , Mary in 1845 Sponsors - Maurice KENNELLY & Ansty LAWTON, Anastasia in 1847 Sponsors - James BARRY & Cath DORGAN, Michael in 1849 Sponsors - David O'BRIEN & Ellen O'BRIEN, Catherine in 1851 Sponsors - Michl COSTINE & Cath KENELLY.
Ellen BRIEN/O'BRIEN'S mother/father were John O'BRIEN/BRIEN and Mary LEAHY. John O'BRIEN'S father/mother were Michel O,BRIEN/BRIEN & Catherine AHEARNE
