My ggrandmother was a Coogan. My information, at this stage, is fuzzy. There was a John Patterson b 1838 of Castlecomer ? who married Judith/Julia. Johannah Coogan b abt 1834. They are buried inJohnswell Cemetery in Kilkenny. I have a picture of the headstone. They are supposed to be the parents of my grandmother but not sure. This lady doesn't sound like your Julia Coogan because she died in Ireland, but she may be from the same family but a different generation.
