Patton and Alcorn

Barb, I was surprised to find Alcorns because it was my Patton line that brought me to Donegal. I knew the Alcorns might be from Ireland but wasn't actively looking for them. My query was about Rev. PATTON and I listed all Irish surnames regardless of County as you never know who may see your post. Hopefully this resolves your confusion.
In regards to my ALCORN line, all I have is tha William Alcorn emigrated from Ireland to Phily ca 1721 OR that Wm. was the son of a George Alcorn of Renfrew, Scotland and migrated ca 1680. William ended up living in VA and later in the Carolinas. All the best, Doug
