Surnames: CROSBY SHEA CROSSAN CROSSIN
Hi All,

I am research William Crosby m. Anne Shea. I do not know where they were married but their first son was born about 1836 in Carndonagh. There is some family history that Crosby used to be Crossan or Crossin but changed it for some reason. Some of the family history indicates that William had a sister who refused to change her last name to Crosby.

I don't know if they all emmigrated together or not but the entire family is in Boston, Massachussetts, USA in the 1850 census. I believe they had been there for at least 2 years at that time. After arriving the US the family stayed with William Woodson for a bit of time. I do not know if they were boarders or had a direct family connection.

I haven't had any luck finding any record of William & Anne in Carndonagh nor have I been able to connect them to any specific family.

The children of William and Anne at the time they went to the US were:

William Thomas b. 1836
John b. 1838
Patrick b. 1840

Thanks for any information you can provide.
