Looking for info on Sheila O'Hara..may also be known as Sheila NaGeira. I believe her father was "king" or someone of note in County Down in the early 1600's. Sheila was on a ship that was on its way to France in 1602 or thereabouts- the ship was capyured by pirates???...she met and married Gilbert Pike and settled in Newfoundland, Canada. Anyone with any info on her father or family in County Down?..What may be of note to someone is that there is a festival in her honor being held n Newfoundland this summer. Thanks for your help..

I am also related to Sheila NaGeira. From my research I'm pretty sure her father was King John of Cannaught (Connacht). I've found him listed as John de Burgh, Lord of Connacht http://www3.dcs.hull.ac.uk/cgi-bin/gedlkup/n=royal?royal0883...
I think this may be the same fellow.
