I am searching for information concerning the origins of the following Collier family in Dublin, Ireland:
1. John Collier ( born ca. 1778/1782/1785 ) married Susan ( born ca. 1782/1785 ), maiden name unknown, sometime between 1800 and 1810. They were both born in Ireland. Their children were the following:
a. Thomas Collier: born ca. 1802/1805 in Ireland.
b. Eliza Collier: born in Ireland, birth year unknown.
c. Ann Collier: born ca. 1810 in Dublin, Ireland.
d. Robert Collier: born ca. 1811 in Dublin, Ireland.
e. John Collier: born Aug. 12, 1812 in Dublin, Ireland.
f. Isaac Collier: born ca. 1818 in Dublin, Ireland.
g. Susan Collier: born April 12, 1824 in New Brunswick, Canada.
h. Sarah Collier: born ca. 1825 in N.B., Canada.
This family is believed to have been living in Dublin from AT LEAST 1810-1818, if not for a longer period of time. They were also believed to have possibly lived in County Longford, Ireland. If they did, it would have had to have been before 1810 OR between 1818 and 1824. They were in Canada to have a child born there in 1824. When they first emigrated to New Brunswick, Canada, they lived in Miramichi and Williamstown. They were not known to be Catholic.
Any help with the origins of this family in Ireland would be very much appreciated. Feel free to e-mail me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
