It may be a variant of Segrave/Seagrave or may be Segriff. I have both in my family history and the first are of English origin, whilst I have been told that the Segriff's are possibly of Spanish/Irish (possibly gypsy) origin i.e. Black Irish. The Segraves hail back to De Segrave in France I have been informed but I am still searching for my origins to the name.
