I have only now viewed the board messages and was very surprised to find two messages from you. I thank you so much for doing so many searches for me. I really appreciate this.

Thank you so much for the prison records information. I am amazed he was arrested for loitering in 1910, that is the times of civil unrest in the country and their was a curfew on. I will certainly get the documention and add it to my family file.

I have the following,

Marriage: 26th May 1857 St Catherine Church Dublin

John James & Mary Egan (my great great grand parents)
John is from Newcastle Co.Wicklow
John's father is John James
John's father's occupation is Labourer
Mary is from Cole Alley Dublin
Mary's father is Francis Egan
Mary's father's Francis occupation is Servant

Mary had a child out of wedlock
Child: Maria Anne James
Date of Birth: 9th May 1857
Date of Baptism: 19th May 1857 St Catherine Church Dublin
Father: Joanna James (John)
Mother: Maria Egan (Mary)
Address: 14 Cole Alley Dublin

Mary and John had another child,
William James born 1st Nov 1865(my great grandfather)
Address: 1 Plunkets Court, Dublin, Ireland
Father: John James
Father's occupation: Labourer
Mother: Mary Egan


Marriage: abt 1886 of John and Mary's son William (born 1865) (Place of marriage unknown)
William married Jane Devlin (my great grandparents)

William and Jane had five children (Re:1911 census)

Children:
Thomas born 25th Jan 1892
address: Yellow Lane Drumcondra Dublin
Mathew James born 17th September 1893
address: Rathdrum County Wicklow
William James (my grandfather) born 3rd Nov 1895
address 12 Georges Place Dublin

What I totally forgot about is that my grandfather William James was a Protestant. so I am going to try and see if I can find their marriage record in the Bishop Street Archives
Also my grandfather William was a Blacksmith
