Saw your inquiery and am working on the same family.....for my wife.
John W. Thompson settled in Jefferson County, Ohio. I do have quite a bit of info on them since they arrived in Ohio around 1806.
There is going to be a Thompson Reunion this Saturday, July 12th at Pineyfork, Ohio.
