There are few records for baptisms that early in Co. Fermanagh. The earliest census substitute
is the Tithe Applotments 1823-1837 www.genealogy.nationalarchives.ie

Griffith Valuation, census substitute 1846-1864 but Fermanagh 1862 www.askaboutireland.ie
None in the town of Pettigoe in 1862, Pettigoe is in the Parish of Drumkeeran

Robert Armstrong, Parish Drumkeeran, Townland Movarran, Poor Law Union Irivestown (with 12 mi)

There are others but not this early.

Index to Registry of Deeds for Armstrong in Fermanangh
Eg:
Christopher Armstrong, Aughatable 28 June 1788 land in tust
George Armstrong, Clonelly, 28 June 1788 land in trust
Charles Armstrong Gent, Clonelly Co. Fermanagh 28 June 1788 indented deed - land in trust

There are two bmd websites for Fermanagh

www.emeraldancestors.com
www.rootsireland.ie

www.igp-web.com + county

There are 52 Armstrongs in the british telephone book for Fermanagh, Northern Ireland but didn't see any listed in Pettigoe. 14 Armstrongs in the Irish telephone book for Donegal but none listed as
Pettigo/Pettgoe

Pettigo in my Road Atlas for Ireland is in Donegal and I notice the town name of Clonelly less than 5 mi. s.w. away and also Irvinestown is about 12 mi. s.e.- see above Deeds
