My great grandparents, Bridget/Richard, married in Ireland, the country of their birth and death. As I said, they had three children who later came to USA, John, Alice, Mary Margaret (my paternal grandmother). Alice, their daughter, was the only surviving child born in Durham, Sunderland, England. I think there were two other children born there, but it appears as though they didn't survive. The family then returned to Dublin where Mary Margaret was born in 1897. Alice, the sister of Richard, remained in England and appears to have married a Irish man living in England; I believe his name was Thomas Hoban. Alice died around 1906, while still living in England. I will follow your recommendation. Your correspondence was very helpful.
