Patrick J. Scanlon
HASTINGS — Patrick J. Scanlon, 43, of 614 S. Hanover St., died Sunday, Aug. 5, 1990, at Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo, where he had been a patient one day.
He was bom and raised in Galway, Ireland, and came to the United States in 1965, settling in Rosemont, Pa. He lived a short time in Missouri and moved to Hastings in 1970 from Nashville. He served with the Army during the Vietnam War.
He was presently employed by Davis Roofing Co., Hastings, and had previously worked for Bradford-White, Middleville, and Hastings Aluminum Products.
He was a member of Hastings Moose and Eagles Lodges.
Surviving are daughters, Mary Teresa Scanlon and Patty Joann Bunion, both of Newburg, Mo.; one grandchild; five stepchildren; his mother, Bridget Scanlon of Galway, Ireland; sisters, Mary Sheridan, Elsie Scanlon, Gorrctti Scanlon, Peggy Gallaher and Tresa Finn, all of Galway, Ireland, Christine and Martha Farrelly, both of Rosemont, Pa., and Pauline Roch-ford of Dublin, Ireland; and brothers, Jerry and Martin Scanlon, both of Galway, Ireland.
Services were today at 10 a.m. at St. Rose-of Lima Catholic Church. Arrangements are by Wren Funeral Home.
