Cornelius GAVIN (son Peter), and Patrick WHELAN (dau. Margaret), early 1800's

Hello,

I'm thinking about my husband's family-tree again, and I'd like to repost my interest in the Irish side. His ancestors were Cornelius and Margaret (?) GAVIN of around 1840's Co. Galway. And, Patrick and Brigit (KEARNS) WHELAN of around 1840's Co. Galway. The children I'm interested in were Peter GAVIN b~1860 and Margaret WHELAN b~1860. Traveling separately, Peter and Margaret immigrated to Massachusetts in 1883. They married in 1884 in Waltham, MA, and had 10 children there.

An FYI is just this summer I was able to get to the Calvary Cemetery in Waltham and locate the GAVIN gravestone. I have a picture of it. It's possible that 3 or 4 of their children did not marry. Son, James, married and the couple lived nearby in Cambridge, MA. They are buried in the Cambridge Cemetery.

I would like to find out of Peter GAVIN and Mrs. Margaret (WHELAN) GAVIN had siblings. And, if they did, would any of them have also migrated to the USA.

Betty (near Lowell, MA, USA)
