Elizabeth Morton was born 1760-1765-records differ. One in ancestry for her marriage to Thomas Wakefield, US & International Marriage Records show they were married in 1785 and she was born in 1765. A record for immigration has a John Morton (39) and Jane Peden (26) his wife with their children, David 7, John 4, and Elizabeth 2, immigrating in 1767-68 on the ship (Snow) James and Mary, landing at Charleston, S.C. The Peden were from the Rev William Martin, I think this is right, Conventers Presbyterian group. Jane was the dau of John and Margaret McDill Peden.
