Elizabeth Morton was born 1760-1765-records differ. One in ancestry for her marriage to Thomas Wakefield, US & International Marriage Records show they were married in 1785 and she was born in 1765. A record for immigration has a John Morton (39) and Jane Peden (26) his wife with their children, David 7, John 4, and Elizabeth 2, immigrating in 1767-68 on the ship (Snow) James and Mary, landing at Charleston, S.C. The Peden were from the Rev William Martin, I think this is right, Conventers Presbyterian group. Jane was the dau of John and Margaret McDill Peden. Any info on an Elizabeth Morton's birth around this time or any marriage info to a Thomas Wakefield would be appreciated. Thanks, Cindy coetting57@hotmail.com
