Searching for BURKE family who moved from Ireland to Jersey in late 18th or early 19th century. Mary (Marie or Miriam) Burke marr. Philip Picot in Jersey in mid 1800, it is believed her father may have came there from Ireland.

Also (unrelated to above) any ancestors or descendants of Michael McDERMOTT (1797-1872) and Hanora CAVANAUGH (1803- ?) reportedly from county Mayo, Ireland emigrated to Quebec, Canada 1840-1850. Hanora's mother was Elizabeth Cavanaugh (maiden name unknown) also came to Canada with them and their 6 children: Mary b. 1827, Catherine b 1831, Julia b 1834, Michael b 1837, Patrick b. 1837 and Martin b. 1841.

Will be happy to exchange any information with other searchers of these families.
