Thanks for your reply, yes it is frustrating, I went on to the churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie website and there were approx 500 O'Connor/Connor marriages or were sponsors in Castlegregory alone from about 1813 to 1910, never mind the rest of County Kerry.
I have only got back to 1846 with Patrick O'Connor's marriage to Elizabeth Deen/Deane, I don't know who their parents were. I suspect Patrick's father was Michael, I had a message from Joe Deane of Castlegregory, that he is probably related, the Deane house only has one wall still standing, the Maunsell's live in what was the O'Connor house, the youngest daughter of Patrick O'Connor & Elizabeth Deane, Honora married Patrick O'Sullivan, their granddaughter is Mary O'Donnell and lives at the bottom of Conor Pass today, I don't know of other connections or what happened to some of the other children, I do know some of the children's sponsors were Maunsells, Spillanes, Kennedy's , Cournanes, Neals, also there was a connection to William Sheehan, who went to USA, do you know anything about this one? William Sheehan died about 1920 & there is a letter from USA about it to Francis from Lawyers. Thanks as always more questions than answers
Kind regards Maureen O'Connor
