Hello there. I'm not sure if you're still researching Patrick Conway but I came across some information while searching for Browne's Castle in Clash, Causeway. Patrick was born on 8th July 1841 in Clash, Causeway. His parents were Patrick Conway & Margaret McNamara. They had 3 other children: James, Eugene & Janet. James born 30th December 1838; Eugene born 1st May 1844 and Janet born 29th June 1847. This of course means they lived through the very worst of the Great Famine in Ireland when conditions in the west of Ireland were appalling!

Patrick Conway and Margaret McNamara were married in Ballybunion parish church on the other side of the river from Clash. They married 3rd February 1838. Patrick lists his home place as Dromin, Ballybunion although the Conways were from Clash and can be found there as far back as 1817. Margaret was from Ballybunion parish.
