John Scannell b ~1821 married second Ellen Deen (Dean) b.~1846. Married in 1866. Children Elizabeth b1868; Ellen(Nellie)M. b.1868; John b 1870; Joseph b 1872; Michael b. 1877; Margaret A. b. 1879; Hannah b.~1884; Thomas J. b. 1885; Nora (Hanoria) b ~1885; James b. 1886; Catherine b. ~1887. All children except for John, Joseph, Michael and Daniel emigrated to St. Louis, MO.

John Scannell b. ~1821 had first marriage to Maria Kearney abt 1840 with children Maria b. 1858; Cahterine b. 1860; Thomas b. 1863 and nine others, many of whom emigrated to New Zealand or Australia, location unknown.

The family property was across the street and down one block from Ashe's pub at the crossroads in Camp, Dingle.
