Hi,JL82674- I noticed your post 14/07/11 re Laurence Cribbin from Clane area born about 1858.This Laurence would appear to be a brother of my great grandfather Thomas Cribbin butcher-was son of Larence Cribbin b1809 & d 1889 and Jane Dunn b1806 d1896. I dont know Thomass dob- however he had 2 Brothers- LAURENCE & Andrew- & 2 sisters Eliz & Kate. Laurence married Kate Laman. Thomas Married Julia Crosbie b 1845 from Hodgestown- 19/7/1871. Thomas & Julia had 2 sons - Richard b 1875 & Laurence butcher- my Grandfather & 4 daughters. It appears from 1900 census that laurence & his wife Kate Deegan b1874 & married 1809 plus his mother Julia & sister Mary & son Tom b1900 were in Dublin in 1900 & moved to Portarlington Co. Laois 1901.email me at brendan@alliedfinancial.ie if you have further info or if you would like addit info.
