Irish Records - Ancestry World databases or Gov't Records Office, Dublin ?

Classification: Query
Surnames: DOWLING CASEY Byrnes Horan
will be going to Ireland in Nov (2013) and trying to decide whether to spend my $ to upgrade to World ed of Ancestry or save it to spend in Dublin at the GRO for Irish records. At the moment, I have about 8 items I've found on the Irish Indexes, and now want to look at the actual records to see if they are mine (names are DOWLING, CASEY from villages of Moone, TImolin and Ballitore). Anyone know what databases are included in the World ed. beyond the indexes? Anyone been to the GRO - would love to hear about your experience and any tips you might have for me. I'll also be visiting the villages and am trying to contact members of BYRNES, HORAN families. thanks
