Good to hear from you. I heard back from the National Library in Dublin today. Apparently the Wandesforde Papers are 'currently being listed' and are not available to the public. My query concerns my gggrandfather James Brennan. He was a farmer around Castlecomer in 1847. In June of that year he joined the police ( RIC ) and was posted to Co Cavan. He was born in 1827 or 1831. Is this record at the back of 'Castlecomer Connections'? I suspect he may have been one of the hundreds of local farmers 'assisted' to leave their land in that year. There must be someone who has a transcription of this list!!
