Hi! my information is based on documents regarding the trial of William Bowe in January 1835 which was send to Australia as a convict for having assaulted an officer in Castlecomer. His father was John living then apparently in Castlecomer and who send a petition to the Court claiming his son innocence. According to the transcript of the petition the father says William is the only son and himself is aged ninety (which is rather strange). I have no real evidence of John wife except that the Fresford connection seemed a good possibility. But this may be completely wrong. I plan to visit the national Archives in London shortly in order to try and view some information on the trial which could give some more leads.
