My Uncle Joe died in Croydon Surrey in 2000,leaving hsi wife, Nora and 5 children, including another Joe. My Dad (Jack} died in 2004, having been widowed since 1995. Mary Ann (my mother) died in Newark in 1995, the last of her siblings to go. I know there are lots of Mum's nieces and nephews around but do not have contact. Mum's brother George had 6 kids, including a George, Christy, Paddy, Ellen, Kathleen and Johanna. Last I knew of them, they were all around The Curragh in Kildare somewhere. My Uncle George was in the Army and his son, George followed him into it. That George was in the army band. As far as I know, Uncle George was the only sibling of Mum's to stay in Ireland. The rest scattered.
