Surnames: Ahern, Cagney
I am researching a family based on a contradictory oral history. Depending on the orator one parent was from Cork the other from Limerick. I have confirmed the following. Owen Ahern DOB circa 1820 Marries Ann Vickery [sp.?] DOB circa 1823.I do not know where the marriage takes place.

I do have Owen at WS OBriens estate Cahermoyle, Ardagh, Limerick, in 1848 with three children baptized there.

Owen has a sister named Johanna who weds Daniel Cagney and they baptized two children one John or Mary in Kilcolman/Coolcappagh 1845 and the other John or Mary in Ballykiely townland 1848. I have no info on marriage place or date of Johanna.

Dennis and Owen Jr emigrate on a ship presumably with Johanna and James Ahern presumably relatives since two children would not emigrate at ages 9/11 alone. Owen stays on Long Island NY as a gardener again until 1860 then migrates to Chicago. Family stays here a while then some migrate to St Joseph MO, Memphis TN, Los Angeles CA, San Francisco CA, OR and WA state;

Owens son Owen was baptized as Eugene the Gaelic for Owen I believe, in Ardagh in 1847.

Owen and Anne’s children that I have records for are in order of birth: James circa1842; Dennis c 1843; Mary Magdalene c1847; Owen and twin Ellen who dies in childbirth c 1848; Patrick 1849 unknown death but in Ireland before 1852; John 1851; rest of children are born USA Daniel James; William; Margaret Anne and Edward.

Owen, John, William and Edward repeat names in subsequent generations born in USA

Pre WWI Owen Jr returns to Ireland for a Birth certificate and lists his residence as Fermoy although he is proven as baptized in Ardagh.

Any help would be appreciated. I have no info on Owen/ Ann and Johanna/Daniel’s siblings or parents.

Any help would be appreciated. For example cemetery locations, headstones, Cagney help, other siblings of Owen senior help,

More importantly a plan of attack for Ireland information.
I maneuver well in USA but have no clue for IR
