The children of Michael Portley and Anne McGrath migrated, together with spouses and families, to Moreton Bay Qld Australia, in the 1850's and 1860's. Extended families included Bourke, McGrath, Ryan, Quinn, O'Shea, Fitzgerald, Molloy, all seemingly from the Doon/Cappamore/Gortavalla area of Limerick. If anyone could increase my knowledge of Michael and Anne (sometimes known as Nancy), - or of Doon of the 18th century -I would be very grateful. He was perhaps born circa 1795, they were married perhaps circa 1801.
