Classification: Query
Surnames: O'Rourke, Ferguson, FitzGibbon, Godsil
My g-grandfather Francis Patrick O'Rourke was baptised in St Michael's parish, Limerick city, on 11 March 1852. The male witness (usually the god-father) was a John FitzGibbon, the female Mary Godsell (=Godsil ?).

My g-g-grandparents were Daniel and Bridget(neé Ferguson)and were born in the 1820s (he about 1821, she about 1827). I do not know where or to whom.

Another child of the couple was baptised in Broadford, about 25 miles to the south-west, in 1866. Notably, that area of the county has many FitzGibbons, and in the 1901 Census the only Godsils in the entire island of Ireland were to be found even further to the south-west, in Kiskeam/Newmarket/Boherbue districts of County Cork.

Hoping that this may be of some help.
