My grandmother Margaret Ryan Gilbride (1884-1960) immigrated with James Clinch and his 1st cousin Edward Casey (1873-1954) on the vessel Lucania, arriving at Ellis Island May 3rd 1902. Margaret was the 1st cousin of Edward Casey. Both lived in the townsland of Ballywalter, Ardagh parish, Co. Longford.
Bridget Clinch (nee: Casey), mother of James, is listed on the 1901 Co. Longford census of Cartrongeeragh townsland, a widow, age 50, with 4 of her children as follows: James (30), John (28), Michael (26), and Annie (21).
James C. Clinch is listed on the 1910 and 1920 census at San Mateo, CA . The last reference I found for him was on the 1930 Burlingame-San Mateo city directory.
If any of the above has apparent value, I can provide more information.
