May great grandfather John Timlin was born abt 1846 in Ireland(Ballina/Killala County Mayo). He settled in Scranton Pa. where he married a Bridget Ruddy (also born iin Ireland). They had three children, Ellen (8/13/1866) who possible died at birth, Thomas Francis (12/17/1867)my grandfather, and John Jr. (2/17/1870) whom I have no knowledge of although both Thomas and John Jr. are listed in the 1870 census.

I suspect that my ggf John may have been a child of John Timlin and Anne Gallagher (although I have no proof other than his birthdate). John Timlin was born to them in Nov/Dec 1849/1850 and baptized by a Father Duffy. Other family members may have included:

I have vague recollections as a child that by gf/gm corresponded with a Gallagher family in Ireland. If anyone has information on this family and its decendents I would greatly appreciate it.
