Hi everyone,

I'm researching my family. My great-grandfather MICHAEL ATHY was born in Ballygommon, County Mayo, in 1892. His father, PAT, was born in about 1861 and died in 1916. Pat married Ellen Mulroy in 1888 in Manulla.

They had four children: Patrick (born 1891; died 1971, who I believe emigrated to Chicago); my great-grandfather Michael who emigrated to New York; Thomas (whose birth year I am unsure about) and Mary Ellen, who also came to New York.

I don't know much more than that about Pat and Ellen; if anyone has anything, it would be greatly appreciated.

Pat Athy's father is named TOM, but I have no birth or death date for him. Nor do I know who his wife was or who his mother was.
