Any chance that the names Michael McCann, and Bridget Mcgrath might ring a bell in connection to your Arthur McCann? My g g g g grandparents Michael McCann, and Bridget McGrath were married in Ireland, and then came to Toronto, Canada during the Potatoe famine in the late 1840's. They were both Roman Catholic, and they lived in Toronto's Irish community of "Cabbagetown", and attended St Paul's Roman Catholic Church. They were both born abt in 1825. Toronto throughout the late 1850's-through-1890's had eight McCann families listed in the local Toronto directory. Please let me know if these McCann names ring a bell with you? I am trying to figure out just where my family came from during the Famine in Ireland?
