He married Bridget McLaughlin on July 1,1863 at St.Peters Church in Jersey City NJ.Patrick and Bridget had seven children Thomas Francis born 1864, Mary Elizabeth born 1866, Daniel born 1871, Kate born 1872, Margaret born 1875, Ann Elizabeth born 1877, and Patrick born 1880
