My great grandfather Philip Ward married Elizabeth(Betty)DUFFY pre-1829 in either Edinburgh,Scotland or Monagahan County Ireland. Their children in 1851 Glasgow census were Ellen age 22, Mary 20, Philip 18, and my grandfather Hugh age 11. Hugh left Glasgow or UK in October of 1852 arriving New York November 4, 1852. Identity of any travel companions is not known to me. Hugh later married Elizabeth Gilbride and they worked and raised a large family in Taunton, and Lawrence, Mass.
