Not sure if it's me you were asking about NYC McCabes but I'll go ahead and tell you what I know.

My greatgrandfather, Micheal McCabe, emmigrated around 1871. Born around 1850, his death cert lists his parents as Francis McCabe and Elizabeth McCabe. I don't know if this was actually the mother's maiden name. There was supposedly a sister, cousin or aunt by the name of Mary. She was married to Owen McNulty and lived in Creevekeeran, acccording to one source. Don't know any of Micheal's siblings, but the names James and Hugh seem to be popular with the family as well as Francis (Frank) and Michaelfor boys.
