Classification: Query
Surnames: Towhey, Pattingale.
Can anyone make a connection to Frederick William Lovely Towhey born 1856.
Frederick married 1879 Birmingham England to Ellen Pattingale, on the cert he lists his father as named James Towhey a Station Master.
On the 1881 UK census he states his birth place as Ireland but on furute census he states that he was born in Woolwich Kent UK.
Frederick was a blind itinerate musician, at one time they owned a drapers shop in Manchester and later Frederick was a second hand musical dealer.
The Towhey's has 7 children but only 2 survived, Mary Ellen (my grandmother born Liverpool) Ada, children that died were named Frederick, Thomas Harold and twins Beatrice and Victoria and poss another Frederick.
The Lovely name was only given to my grandmother and the Lovely became Loval. The Family were known as Loval Towhey.
The family travelled throughout the UK and finally settled in Lambeth London.
