hi thank you for the rely... for quite sometime I have thought that Owen Dyer was from Rathkeery.... am going to add that to my tree and see what happens... in the past when I have made a mistake on my tree someone contacts me with the right info !! Irish records as you well know are so hard to trace... of course did not help that there was a fire in Dublin that destroyed many of them !! Add to that so many fled in the aftermath of the famine...some whose voyage was paid for by their landlords when they were evicted as farmers to make way for the raising of sheep. Samething happened in Scotland when I started doing research on the Stewarts who married into the Dyer clan... oh the joys of 'looking'... cheers maureen
