The Green family lived in the Parish of Kilkeevin in the Townland of Taghnoose.
In 1855 Griffith Valuation took place basically the same kind of Valuation at the Tithe Applotments done for tax purposes.
The Tithe's however, were taxes for the Church of Ireland.
There are 9 Green's in the Parish of Kilkeevin, but only a Michael Green in the Parish of Kilkeevin townland of Taghnoose, a tenant of Wm. R.W. Sanford, in the Poor Law Union of Castlerea.

she is probably a widow as land is usually in the man's name and if he had died she would have to apply and be accepted to have a lease put in her name.
There are 72 John Hughes in Mayo and 103 McGowan's, I would use www.failteromhat.com
to find common Parish's before
looking up on the following:
You can look these up on www.askaboutireland.ie
(property descriptions as above) or
a more simplified version www.failteromhat.com
In the 1870 directory is a Daniel listed in Ballinsloe but
my viewer for the details is not working.www.failteromhat.com
1846: Michael Green, Tipperary, Tipperary
1846: Thomas Green, Ballymoe listed under Nobility,Gentry & Clergy
In the Directory Tipperary Town was a Parish, a market and corporate town was 12 mi.south of Strokestown and 18 s.e. of Castlerea.
Tipperary, Roscommon & Mayo belong to an Irish Heritage Foundation, a pay website with birth and marriage records from before civil registration in 1864. However, go for the unusual names such as Daniel and Edmond Greene and go from there. With the name John Hughes and Ellen McGowan you should be able to find all Ann E.'s siblings. You can search with as little as a name and year of birth, all the better to have a county. All other names mentioned are very common and you may have some difficulties with them.www.familysearch.org
also depending on the parish some very early Roscommon parish records, and bmd after 1864.
There are only a few Green's in the Roscommon telephone book with 1 in Castlerea. 8 in Tipperary. No Crotty's in Roscommon, closest is Galway.
