Any first names? Place in Time? Finding Kelly, O'Dowd's and Donoghues would be a problem as there are so many.

Igo(as spelled) there are 52 in Roscommon for the Griffith
Valuation of 1857.

These are not listed under their Union - Strokestown
but by Parish. All parishs, villages within 12 mi. radius.

The Parish's within the Poor Law Union of Strokestown are:
Bumlin
Clooncraff
Cloonfinlough
Elphin
Kilglass
Kiltrustan
Termonbarry

As there are so many you can look these up on
www.askaboutireland.ie (watch for the other surnames as neighbours.

Directories:
Thomas Igo, Roscommon Shopkeeper, Lanesborough St.

There are others spelled Igoe Mayo, Kildare, Dublin and Longford Counties.

Tithe Applotments: 1820-1849:

Census 1901/1911:

www.census.nationalarchives.ie

Roscommon RC records can go back quite aways, see
www.familysearch.org

also this is where you will find bmd's from 1864 on.
I have births from 1864-1875 with parents names if you have any Igo's that fit.

Prior to 1864 all records are Parish records, Roscommon does belong to an Irish History Foundation. It is a fee for service but a 'not for profit' organization.

You haven't given any dates, so you will have to do your own searching.

There are 6 Igoe in the Roscommon telephone book and 1 of these is in Strokestown, a letter perhaps?
over 100 Kelly's, didn't separate out Strokestown.
29 ODowd's, 11 ODonoghue's.
