William & Elizabeth Padan/Paden/McPaden/Padden/Paddon & variants

Classification: Query
As there seems to be many Padden families with various spellings originating from Roscommon I'm hoping someone can shed light on my family as hopefully this is where they were from. All searches so far have proved fruitless so any assistance would be much appreciated.

William & his wife Elizabeth Padan (both born c1800) - variously spelt Paddon, McPaden, Patton, Pardon + others

They were married in Northern Ireland? before 1833 and moved to Sunderland, Co Durham before the 1851 census

They had children

Ann - born c1833
Michael - born c1836
Honora - born c1839
Margaret - born c1840
Bridget - born c1844
Elizabeth - born c1847

Unfortunately the children either emigrated to USA or didn't give place of birth on the census's. Only clue is a mention of Northern Ireland by Michael's daughter in USA census.

Hope someone can help.
