I have checked my online (private) Livingston tree and Maria Whyte (who married William Livingston in Rathbarron in 1854) was born c1823 and was the daughter of James Whyte. So if you have any information on Ann'e parents then that could help tie that up.

By the way, yes the Livingston & Whytes in Coolaney were protestant.
