Hello, I think we may be related. My Great-Great Grandfather, Thomas Marren of Dawros, County Sligo, born aprx. 1815, was married to a Anne Whyte. The story in our famil was that Anne was originally from Coolaney, County Sligo and that she was from an Anglo-Irish Protestant family. I understand that the Whyte's were yeoman farmers and joiners (cabinet makers) by trade. They originated from England, but when they came to Ireland I don't know. I am pretty sure there were some Livingston's (also spelled Levingstone)in their background too, as well as Townsend's, if I remember correctly.
