Robert,

I am wondering more about your George and Katherine Munns in New York. Do you know whether they stayed in the USA for very long? I noticed that they're back in Scotland for Edward's birth in 1814.

I am looking for a Robert Munns who had a land agreement in Alleghany County, New York. Robert's wife's name is Polly. According to "family legend", Robert died and was buried at sea. It would appear from the land records that it was sometime between 1811 and 1812 that he died - his widow defaulted on the land agreement. Robert's son, also Robert, is my husband's ggg-grandfather. In 1850, Robert Jr. claimed that his father was born in Ireland. That's about all that I know about Robert Sr.! Hoping you know whether George and Katherine had a son named Robert.

Thanks!
Roxanne
