If you cannot find it on Griffiths or seanraud, one last try would be the Irish census

BUT I would suggest you have a spelling error and to try different variations (or phonetics).

Having English spelling off is NOT unusual. Indeed it is Common so you have to view all spelling as an estimation --. it is not set in stone (Potatoe, Patato) Place names, Surnames --everything-- does have variations even from the original tongue.

Worse, and then when it was Anglicized, it went by sound generally, adding more confusion to it -- try sounding it out and vary letters.
