I looked through 41 parish's in Sligo at all the townlands.
Also looked for similar sounding names and AKA. For example
Oakfield was also known as Derrydarragh how would you ever figure that out!

Then I realized that Ballina was in Mayo County not Sligo.

You can do what I did by going through each parish and look for the name Wraystown. www.irishtimes.com/ancestors

It could be something like Avoca being called Newbridge under the British. I found that on wikipedia.

What year are you talking about and a person's name might help? Have you looked in the Tithe records now on line.
