I think you are missing my points slightly, I didn't state starting dates of RC records for any parish, which as you said vary from parish to parish. In the initial query there was no mention of which Carrownamaddoo townland was applicable so I was clarifying the relevant civil and RC parish based on the census returns. Anyone would need to know this to start a search for relevant parish records.

My other point regarding details shown on marriage records was in reference to Civil records, which started for all districts in 1864, and earlier in 1845 for non-Catholic and Registry Office marriages, the important detail being that these should include father's name (mentioned as part of the query), whereas an early RC parish record of marriage often does not.
