Peggy and Mac, may I receive your pictures too? I've been studying the Tobins off and on for years. I'd love to see the pictures, to put faces to the names. You both likely have all of the following, but in case not:
I have proof that Edward Keating is not a sibling of Mary Keating, therefore I'm left with the fact that Mary (Tobin) Keating is a sister-in-law because of John Tobin.
I have "proof" that Mary (Tobin) Keating is a Tobin from the 1922 McHenry County History;
I have a death certificate of Edward and Mary's son, Thomas, indicating that his mother was Mary Tobin, both parents born in Tipperary;
I have John Tobin's probate documents;
I have a copy of litigation in 1858 of John Tobin for use of Mary Keating v William Kimball and Samuel Kimball;
I have the complete copy of Charles Meyers Tobin Genealogy received from his wife by mail, don't recall the year;
I have four deeds pertaining to John Tobin's land;
I have obituaries (transcriptoin and copies) of the children of Edward and Mary (Tobin) Keating you may want since it is likely they are related to John Tobin;
I have John Tobin's death certificate;
I have the will of Mary (Keating) Tobin which of course pertains to what John Tobin left her;
I have a transcription of A Record in Memoriam of the funeral of Mary (Keating) Tobin listing who rode in what carriage. Peggy, mentions your grandmother.
I believe this is all I have that you both would be interested in.
