I regret to tell you that Castle Fogarty is not open to the public. If you are in County Tipp then I encourage you to go to the public library at The Source, Thurles. On display there is the O'Ffogerty Harp which belonged to Cornelius O'Ffogerty who was the son of Thady O'Ffogerty who built Castle Fogarty in 1666. It is one of only 16 remaining harps of this period. You may also want to head over to Inch House, Inch and the village of Drom which are the pre-Crowellian lands of the Fogartys. There is a Ryan family grave site near Inch House which is open to the public and is of some interest as the Ryan and Fogarty families are linked through history. Hope you have a great time visiting Co. Tipp.
